Shaver Lake, California
Pine Logging Family Camp has been welcoming families to the shores of Shaver Lake for generations. Rustic cabins, lake access, and the kind of quiet that actually fills you up.
Our Story
This isn't a resort chain. Pine Logging Family Camp started as a place for one family to escape — and it grew into something the whole community relies on. Located right on Dinkey Creek Road, our cabins sit among mature pines with direct access to Shaver Lake's clear water.
We've been doing this long enough to know what makes a lakeside stay actually good: a comfortable bed after a day on the water, a fire pit that doesn't smoke, and neighbors who become friends by the shared trailhead. That's the standard we keep.
Accommodations
Each cabin is different — that's the point. Pick the one that fits your crew.
Popular
One bedroom, one bath, a stone fireplace that actually draws. Sleeps four. Full kitchen. Private deck overlooking the pines.
Two bedrooms, full bath, open living area with vaulted ceilings. Steps from Dinkey Creek. Perfect for families or a second couple sharing the trip.
Best for Groups
Three bedrooms, two baths, a great room that feels like a living room in a national park lodge. Fire pit, grill, and enough space for everyone to spread out.
What You'll Do
Bring your boat or rent one nearby. Lake trout, bass, and kokanee salmon — the water is cold and clear enough to see your lure drop.
Miles of singletrack and fire roads through mixed conifer forest. Hiking in summer, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in winter.
Zero streetlights for miles. The Milky Way is visible from the fire pit most nights of the year. Bring a blanket and a telescope if you have one.
Deer at dawn, eagles over the water, and the kind of silence that makes you realize you forgot how to relax somewhere along the way.
Location
Shaver Lake sits at roughly 5,200 feet elevation in the Sierra Nevada, about 2 hours east of Fresno. The drive through the pines is part of the experience.

Get in Touch
We're not a call center. When you call, someone who actually runs the camp picks up. Tell us what you need — a cabin for a weekend, a week, or the whole summer — and we'll point you in the right direction.
Thanks for reaching out. We'll be in touch soon — usually within a few hours.
